Welcome

Renner Tool & Supply was established in 1967 by founding owner Harry Renner and his partner Gene Henehan. Their business concept was simple and direct, “to provide quality fasteners and tools to the construction industry with a personalized touch.”

Starting from a modest beginning of two full time employees and one van, Renner Tool & Supply flourished over the years. In 1974, Harry and Gene proudly welcomed aboard their sons Fred Renner and Tom Henehan. Over the next two decades Renner Tool & Supply steadily grew in size and prospered. In the early nineties, both Harry and Gene retired passing the torch to the capable hands of their sons. The later half of the decade brought on a number of significant changes including the retirement of Fred Renner, a vast expansion of product lines, a growth of employees, and a recent merger with Colony Tool & Supply, Inc.

Colony Tool, owned by Ken Works, has a proud history dating back to 1973. Founding owner Ken Works and his partner Rick Muller opened shop in Plymouth, MA servicing the construction industry in Boston, the South Shore and all of Cape Cod. Colony Tool also enjoyed a prosperous growth spurt and expanded its services to cover the Rhode Island market.

When the opportunity presented itself, both Renner Tool & Supply and Colony Tool & Supply knew that a mutually beneficial merger was a perfect marriage. This marriage between Renner Tool and Colony Tool lead to the birth of Renner Colony LLC. Renner Colony boasts a work force of 35 employees and 15 vans with office locations in Dorchester, MA, Plymouth, MA and East Providence, RI. Renner Colony LLC is committed to living up to the high standards of both previous independent companies while expanding their product lines and customer reach.

Renner Colony’s goal is to be “The Best Supplier Of Construction Materials, Equipment And Service In The New England Region.”
